During 2008 the Israel Ministry of Tourism's website was visited by 3.5 million online visitors worldwide; an increase of 100% from 2007. More than 830,000 of the visitors were from the United States, 227,000 visitors from Italy, 200,000 from France and 150,000 from Russia. The citizens of Israel enjoy the website as well, and form 18% of the online visitors.
